        <![CDATA[<p><br />This year's event is only one week away Are you ready? There are a few things that have been added that you should know about. First this year there will be a Bagpipe performance from Mary Thrasher at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mary is an excellent musician. In 2008 she performed in Scotland. This performance is a must see. </p><p>This year we will also be hosting a meeting concerning the 150th anniversary of the Civil War Battle of Fredericktown, Mo in 2011. Preparation for this event has begun, and your input is greatly appreciated. Stay tuned for more information.</p><p>Just a reminder, The Square Dance is on Friday the 27th at 7p.m.</p><p> Bring caned goods and Boxed food stuffs to the dance for raffle tickets.The raffle will continue throughout the weekend and the winners will be drawn on Sunday at 3p.m. Donations will also be accepted throughout the weekend for the Missouri Sheltered Workshop. Please donate. This event's purpose is to help local organizations like the Madison County Food Pantry and the Missouri Sheltered Workshop. &nbsp; <br /></p><p>The opening ceremony will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday and will include the JROTC Color Guard, Veteran recognition, firing of a civil War Era cannon, and the Music of Bruce Punches and the Arlington Family Band. &nbsp; <br /></p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>Hello everyone. This is One Slat with the latest news and updates about the Historic time Line Event in Fredericktown, Mo. Sheriff Dan and his Deputies will be playing Bluegrass music on Sunday at 11 a.m. Other musical entertainment is currently being confirmed and will be added soon. Other character performances to include Military and Native American persona.</p><p>The Historic Time Line committee has been working diligently generating funds for this years event. We have had tremendous support from local businesses considering the state of our economy.</p><p>Do not forget to bring can goods for The Food Pantry for every can good given you will receive 1 raffle ticket. Items to be raffled off can be seen at the information tent. One of the items to be raffled will be a primitive forged cook set made by the attending blacksmith.<br /></p><p>The publication that will be placed in the Democrat News Paper will go to print on Monday March 2nd. If you are a reenactment, music, or performing group that is planing to attend and would like to have information placed in the paper your information must be submitted no latter than Sunday March 1st 2009. Your submissions should be emailed to<strong> fmanning@timelineevent.org</strong></p><p>Check back regularly for more updates.         <![CDATA[<p>Hey everybody this is One Slat with some news about this years event. 1st Bring your dancing shoes! We will be having a Square Dance on Friday March 27th at 7 p.m. It will be held at the event site, unless there is inclement weather, it will be held at the Madison County Farm Supply just north of the event site. Music will be provided by the Bruce Punches and Arlington Family band. This Dance is <u><strong>Free</strong></u> to the public and reenactors alike. This year we are trying to help the Madison County Food Pantry so donations of canned goods would be greatly appreciated.</p><p>2nd The Award Winning Bruce Punches and the Arlington Family will also be playing at the Opening Ceremony and just after kicking off this years event with an awesome display of Bluegrass music.</p><p>The Opening Ceremony starts at 9:00 a.m. <br /></p>]]>
