Are you ready?
This year's event is only one week away Are you ready? There are a few things that have been added that you should know about. First this year there will be a Bagpipe performance from Mary Thrasher at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mary is an excellent musician. In 2008 she performed in Scotland. This performance is a must see.
This year we will also be hosting a meeting concerning the 150th anniversary of the Civil War Battle of Fredericktown, Mo in 2011. Preparation for this event has begun, and your input is greatly appreciated. Stay tuned for more information.
Just a reminder, The Square Dance is on Friday the 27th at 7p.m.
Bring caned goods and Boxed food stuffs to the dance for raffle tickets.The raffle will continue throughout the weekend and the winners will be drawn on Sunday at 3p.m. Donations will also be accepted throughout the weekend for the Missouri Sheltered Workshop. Please donate. This event's purpose is to help local organizations like the Madison County Food Pantry and the Missouri Sheltered Workshop.
The opening ceremony will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday and will include the JROTC Color Guard, Veteran recognition, firing of a civil War Era cannon, and the Music of Bruce Punches and the Arlington Family Band.
